Hello, Dear Watchers !!

This time, I can clearly say it has been ages since I last submitted anything on my DA... What do you want, I simply am not as productive as other people are, that's what this is all about, I guess.

Anyway, I finished, a couple of weeks ago, my Steampunk NERF Maverick (REV-6), so I thought it would be a good way to update my page.

So, as you can see, here is a NERF gun I bought at a standard toy shop, which I turned into a Steampunk prop because, firstly of all, I like Steampunk and, secondly, I don't like yellow/black/grey plastic accessories for kids.

It took me about three days of work to complete it, during which I enhanced the power of the gun and modified the barrel (so that it could drop completely), in the first place, before painting it. The painting was made in three parts : I used a black paint aerosol to cover all the dislocated parts, then I dry-brushed the prop in Steampunk colors, and I finally varnished the whole toy (with varnish aerosol) to protect the paint and all.

So I hope you enjoy it, even though it is FAAAAAR from being a truly good-looking Steampunk prop (no accessories of any king fixed on it, some parts where not well covered in black at the beginning, etc...). I'll add that this is the very first time I'm doing this kind of work, dry-brushing, using paint in general (I usually hate paint because I hate having my hands dirtied...).

Feel free to comment and critique my work, since I am a beginner and that I would truly enjoy receiving advices of any kind.
